L'Orangerie, Seraing

The project concerns the transformation of an old industrial Hall in an office building in Belgium to Seraing. This building is the Head Office of the CMI group. The most important element in the facades of this project is a metal net that unfolds around the building.  It moves away, comes closer and connects the facade to the steel industry that used to be here in Seraing. It consists of an aluminum plate with rectangular cutouts, reminiscent of the stones that were used in the construction of Seraing. It works as a perfect canopy. Both the basic siding as the second skin are gold anodized Vom3 by Alucol.
